Doug's Cancer Fight

I'm Caiti, I am Doug Betz's niece and am reaching out to family and friends to help Doug with his fight against cancer.  Doug has been an active part of our community serving 46 years as a firefighter.  Our family has had quite the difficult time when it comes to that nasty "C" word, losing my cousin and Doug's son Brandon in 2001.
In July 2017 Doug wasn't feeling well and sought out advice from a doctor, and after several tests and procedures it was determined he had Pancreatic Cancer. In August 2017  doctors told him he had maybe one year to live. After 18 weekly treatments of chemotherapy and 28 radiation treatments, Doug has surpassed the timeline doctors originally gave him. We thank God every day for the time we have been given, but Doug's fight isn't over yet. We have temporarily kept the tumor from progressing, however Doug is in the 95% group that can not have surgery to remove the tumor.

While Doug has been doing well with his treatment plan, the medical bills have been piling up and his treatment is not yet over.
