Dear Friends,
As we have all learned through life, there are many rough roads, obstacles, tradgedies and hardships that we may encounter. This page is to help and support our dear and unique friend Dave Szyszka.
As many of you know, Dave was diagnosed with stage 4 Thyroid, Lymph and Lung Cancer last May. His diagnosis only gave him one option for treatment, which he proceeded with throat surgery in June 3013 and the susequent highly toxic radioactive Iodine treatment with the hopes of curing or placing the Cancer in remission.
His treatment has failed and Dave finds himself again facing a more invasive throat surgery followed by his final Radioactive Iodine treatment. Due to the toxicity and high level of radioactivity, Dave is only allowed two Radioactive Iodine treatments in his lifetime! Dave is facing a very critical time in his life where he is facing a less than favorable situation.
The stress of the coming surgery and treatment, coupled with the financial burden of the very costly medical process and being unable to himself work and earn an income is overwhelming. I am asking that we again get behind Dave, show him our emotional and financial support.
In lieu of having a large fundraising event, I am asking that we all donate amounts each of us is comfortable with.
