As a child I grew up watching the SCORE International races down in Baja Mexico, these athletes were superheros in my eyes. Dirtbikes, UTV's and Trophy trucks were, and always will be, my passion. I fell in love with the sport and came to the conclusion that this is one thing I would want to experience before I left this earth. Racing the toughest off road desert race in the world, the Baja 1000...
So I set on my journey, with my parents support I was able to purchase a dirt bike and start competing in small events. I was not very good but I had heart and never gave up. This did not last very long, about 6 months from the start of my competitions to be exact. On July 23, 2015 I was in a motocross accident and was told I might not be able to pursue my passion anymore. I didn't believe it for one second, and started my journey to recovery. After 6 months of rehabilitation after femur surgery, I underwent an ACL repair which immobilized my leg for yet another 6 months. I did not let pain or fear stop me from doing what I love. I worked the hardest I've ever worked in my life, in 5 months I was back and in better shape than ever, and took home the 2017 250c Championship in WORCS.
I am not one to ask for anything let alone money, but there comes a time when one must ask for help. I have been invited to race this years Baja 1000 on the point leading Pro Limited team. I am physically and mentally prepared for this 1000 mile journey, just not financially. At this point I have to decline the offer unless I can come up with 4 thousand dollars in one months time. I am currently working overtime as an EMT as well as volunteer work with the fire department, but the income is not suffice. This is my chance to be on the same platform my idols were on and to live my dream! I am doing fundraisers, working OT, and looking for any opportunity to make a dime.
