Browns Building Houses for Needy
Our desire....
Is to serve anywhere that God wants us to in any capacity along side of our children. We have a desire to not only serve, but to help our children have a tangible reminder of what is important in life and to see how blessed we are and to share that blessing. We are so excited to be able to participate in our first mission trip in July 2016 in Guatemala.
What we will be doing...
We will be part of a group that builds houses for impoverished people in San Raymundo, Guatemala. We also hope to visit a local orphanage and involve ourselves in any need. Casas Por Christo works with local missionaries. They guide us to the need and we provide the labor and materials. The missionaries are key to the relationships to further the gospel of Christ to the local people. We are the hands and feet.

Also, we will be going with my very cool brother (don't tell him I said that, he may think I like him :). My brother (Dave Vaughan) and his family have been on several mission trips with this organization and location. We are looking forward to serving with them.
What we need....
Prayer is the MOST essential thing I could ask for from you. If you are unable to support us financially, I would feel so blessed if you would consider praying for our family as we prepare for the trip and are there. Financial assistance is not necessary for you to be considered part of our team.
ANY amount is more than appreciated.
How will the funds be used....
1. Plane ticket $350 per person.
We pay for this directly. All Gofundme funds go towards this goal. So far we are at $750 out of $2100 here.
2. Mission Expenses $500 per person
(Lodging, Housing supplies, Travel Insurance, Misc)
This part is tax deductible (if you would like to donate directly to the church contact me) and is paid to the church. We have raised $3000/$3000 .
3. Misc Expenses (hammers, small supplies)
Total for 6 people around: $5600-$6000
