Brown Gyal Diary: Caribbean Wellness Fundraising Campaign
Donation protected
The Takin' Ah Mental Day Campaign is the Brown Gyal Diary official fundraiser that focuses on raising funds for the development of our Caribbean Wellness Directory and supporting affordable and free programs for Caribbean girls in our community.
Our directory seeks to enhance mental health support for the Indo-Caribbean and broader Caribbean communities. To address key issues such as intergenerational trauma, abuse, addiction, controlling behaviors, and cultural values, we need professionals with personal connections to our cultural experiences.
Over time, we've recognized a growing need for enhanced mental health support and resources tailored to Caribbean individuals across North America and the Caribbean.
As we engage with the community, it's clear that access to mental health education remains a significant challenge. Driven by our dedication to making a difference, our campaign aims to raise funds for two key priorities: the development of the Caribbean Wellness Directory and the provision of affordable—and whenever possible, free—programs and services for Caribbean women and girls.
