My name is Tom Staley. I'm creating this gofundme page in memory of my brother-in-law, Ed Krynock, and in support of my sister, niece and nephews (his family). He fought an inoperable, incurable brain tumor for the past 6 years. As his condition became more intense, so did the treatment. With 24-hour care recently, doctors visits and medications, the toll was on all sides: physical, emotional, and financial.
Ed was quite the guy. He was humorous, loving, and a supportive family man. He and my sister were college sweethearts, married nearly 18 years with 3 kids, ages 13 to 8. Their kids are awesome, and they've been through so much at such a young age. He and I were often mistaken as brothers; I would simply reply, "we're just big guys with beards".
I've had many people reach out to me and ask how they can help. Where can they send money in lieu of flowers, a donation, etc. Truly the greatest impact at this point would be to help the family directly. To rebuild the personal savings for emergencies, respite, education, etc., is the greatest need.
