Brother Master Mason in Distress
One of our Brethren from North Australian Lodge No. 1 under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of Queensland Brother Heath John Ankers was in a bad accident in Sturgis, South Dakota. Brother Tim Forblas of Cheyenne Lodge No. 1 under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Wyoming is a friend of Brother Ankers and found out through Facebook of the accident and notified the Grand Lodge of Colorado we also received an email from the United Grand Lodge of Queensland all requesting assistance for our Brother Ankers.
The details I know are that Brother Heath John Ankers was traveling down the highway when a deer jumped out and hit broadside, this pushed him in to oncoming traffic causing a head on collision with a pickup truck. Brother Ankers was sent to the hospital in Rapid City stabilized and then helicoptered into Denver General Hospital for surgery. Brother Ankers has lost a leg, broken femur, internal bleeding, a broken pelvis and some other injuries.
