Goodwill is the Monarch of this House…Greetings to my great brothers of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

This letter serves as an official request for us to Lean on the Shield. Our brother by the name of Keith James Williams, Jr. has departed this life on Sunday February 18, 2018 at approximately 4:30AM. After fighting Leukemia for the past several months God saw fit to allow him to rest.

Brother Keith James Williams, Jr. (KJ) was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in which he graduated with his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice & Political Science May 2014.

Brother Keith James Williams, Jr. (KJ) was initiated into the Beta Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (Spring 2015).

Brother Keith James Williams, Jr. (KJ) relocated to Charleston, South Carolina to work towards his Juris Doctoral Degree in Law from the Charleston School of Law in which he was expected to graduate May 2018. He received his honorary degree 3 days before he passed away.

His fiancé, family and fraternity brothers have been by his side during this transition and it has been very tough for each one of us.

After consulting with KJ’s family and his fiancé and having a clear understanding of their financial situation, we are asking that the Men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. assist this family with raising our own separate $5,000.00 to present to the family.

This will assist with the cost of the rental of the church, the repast, proper burial, relocation of KJ’s Fiancé and his belongings from Charleston, South Carolina back to Richmond, Virginia.

Brothers I am asking of ALL of us to donate to this cause and we will ensure that EVERY dollar will be allocated to this family.

Brother Keith James Williams, Jr. (KJ) Home going Service will be on this Saturday February 24, 2018 at 11:00AM at St. Paul’s Baptist Church located at 4247 Creighton Road, Richmond, Virginia 23223. The burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery located at 13389 Mountain Road, Glen Allen, Virginia 23059.
