Brother or sister for Avery

Hello! Ever since I was 14 years old I've been told I may have trouble getting pregnant. Not a typical subject for a 14 year old but I gave it a lot of thought over the years as being a mommy was my dream in life. My mom had been a stay at home mom with my brother and me growing up and I continually dreamt I would follow in her footsteps being at every event, game, or at home with us when we were sick.

Fast forward 10 years and I was thankful to be able to discuss with my soon to be husband that I may not be able to become pregnant and that he had to be ok with the idea of adoption as I felt I was meant to have children I just wasn't sure how God intended for that to happen! He graciously agreed and we tied the knot in 2008!

In 2011, after several years of praying and trying to conceive including multiple medical interventions we came to the conclusion that in vitro fertilization would be our last option to try becoming pregnant. Although this was not a complete surprise, the financial side of it sure was surprising. I've always been rather frugal (thanks dad!) so we were able to pay the total of just under $20,000 to do a round of in vitro. Granted we both worked extra hours at our jobs (my husband has two) to help fund our in vitro attempt. We were extremely blessed with success and have our incredibly sweet angel Avery Zerah to show for it! Everything went great! The pregnancy and delivery were wonderful and she is simply perfect in my opinion!

So it's apparent that getting pregnant is our biggest issue as the pregnancy and delivery went very smoothly. That being said we would love for Avery to have a sibling. I grew up with an older brother and my husband with an older sister. We both feel having a sibling is an important part of childhood and life!

Prior to the expenses of getting pregnant we had dreamt of having 4 children some day! Unfortunately finances will probably get in the way of that dream but we aren't willing to stop at one child. We have 7 frozen embryos just waiting for a chance at life. We are currently paying $600 a year to have them stored. We've been told to have two more embryos transferred into my uterus would cost around $5,000. Insurance does not cover any part of this.

This is where you come in! We are still recuperating from the original in vitro journey ($20,000) and are hopeful we could get some help with the next $5,000. We've hosted several garage sales so far raising almost $500 but are out of things to sell. (We had several family members even donate items to sell, thank you to each one of you for your contributions.)

We figure if we knew 500 people willing to donate $10 we could reach this goal very easily! Only $10 and you would be contributing to creating another life! All funds raised will be used strictly for the medical expenses involved for the transfer of an embryo into my uterus. We thank you for considering a donation of any kind, every $1 helps! Even if you can't personally donate, share this with friends or family who might be able! Most importantly please pray for our financial success and even more so for another successful, healthy pregnancy and child!!! Thank you for reading our novel.

Kind regards,
Jared, Erica and Avery
