Brookside Animal Hospital Disaster Relief Fund

Donation protected
Hello, I’m Dr. Stacey Smith, owner of Brookside Animal Hospital, in Tulsa, OK. The small space we rent on Peoria Ave sustained straight line winds of over 100mph on June 18th, 2023. It tore the roof off, and the building was a total loss. Despite having business insurance, it still sat vacant without a roof until November, 2023, while waiting on the building owner’s insurance. Every rainstorm for those 5 months just resulted in water pouring inside. It took weeks for them to tarp it, but even then, it was highly ineffective. Mold has grown in every surface by now, and the whole inside needs to be demolished. Our landlord informed us that they planned to rebuild. But a project that they estimated would take 18 weeks has now become 41 weeks, maybe longer. Our insurance money has run out, and we still have bills to pay. Funds donated will go towards maintaining our business loan, paying our employees so we can retain them, and purchasing any other furniture or medical equipment we need that insurance didn’t completely cover. Without help, we are undoubtedly headed toward bankruptcy, which would leave a great need for veterinary care in our community. Please help us so we can get back to helping the animals. They need us. And we need our building back. Thank you.
