Brooke’s Fighting Back

Donation protected
Brooke was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer on October 10, 2017, just weeks before her 35th birthday. After receiving the devastating news, her first thought was her children. Brooke is a single mother of two children ages 14 and 10. For those who know Brooke, know that her children are her life.

Her treatment started immediately and took over her every day life. Sickness and fatigue has set in but, throughout her treatment she has been a pillar of emotional strength. Even when her chemotherapy treatment leaves her unable to have the strength physically to stand long enough to make dinner, her emotional state has been inspiring and life-changing to those whom are there to witness it.
A thought that keeps her going daily is that she is in the hands of good doctors who know her children need their mother, and that God has proven his love for her by gracing her with these children each day that she lives.
The next step in Brooke’s treatment is chemotherapy and radiation, followed by multiple surgeries and to finish with more chemotherapy. All of this is very scary when you are so young and have school-age children solely dependent on you.
Brooke bravely acknowledges that there is nothing she can do about her health diagnosis or the hand that she has been dealt. But as a community of good people that understand how trying this time can be emotionally, physically, and financially. I ask that you please take the consideration to help her with the one thing we could contribute, and help control. Her and her childrens financial stability.
The medical bills, Home bills, and groceries are the last thing any cancer patient should have to worry about. The hard truth is that they do, and the bills don’t stop coming just because you’re sick.
We all have witnessed in other situations, friends, family and even strangers come together to help someone simply because they know they would need it themselves if it ever happened to them.
Please join Brooke in this journey. Be a part of the encouragement she needs for her to continue, feel support, and love. And that most importantly she is not alone. She is determined to beat her cancer, this is one part we can help her with.
