Brooke Garner's Leap to Recovery!

Donation protected

Brooke Nicole Garner is a 19 year old student at McLennan Community College and is a member of the McLennan Dance Company. She grew up in Schertz, Texas where she attended Samuel Clemens High School. She was a member of the Belles Varsity Dance Team for 3 years and held the position of Lt. Colonel her Junior year and Colonel her Senior year. Brooke got her start in dance at the young age of 3 at Dance Plus in San Antonio, Texas. She spent 13 years on their competiton team where she learned and performed hundreds of dances and traveled to compete all around Texas.

In her senior year of high school she auditioned for and received a full scholarship to dance on McLennan's Dance Company.

Brooke was driving to dance practice on a small, two lane highway when another car came into her lane. She swerved to avoid  hitting the car, lost control, and collided with a tree. The emergency responders told our family that getting her out of her car was one of their most difficult extractions, taking nearly 30 minutes. They said she's lucky to be alive. But they don't know Brooke. She's a fighter. A relentless competitor. She is now embarking on the battle of her life that we know she will win!

When Brooke wakes up she will have a long fight ahead of her. We know in our hearts that this tiny dancer will soon leap for joy, fully recovered and stronger than ever.

We are abundantly blessed by the outpouring of love and support that we have already received. Many have asked how they can help. Brooke will be in the hospital for 6 months to a year for recovery, including rehabilitation. You can imagine the financial burden this will cause and this is the last thing we want our parents to have to worry about. We humbly ask for your help. There are two ways you can help. The family asks for your prayers and your financial support. Please use this site to make a donation to Brooke's Leap to Recovery where funds will be used towards medical bills and rehabilitation.
