Brooke's Musical Theatre Journey

Donation protected
Hello friends and family!
All my life, I have been blessed to be surrounded by a community of supportive people who have inspired my love for the arts. Whether it be singing, playing an instrument, or acting, I am passionate about my craft. As I am now a junior in high school, college is quickly approaching, and I need your help.

I have decided that I would like to pursue musical theatre as my major, and either film or theatrical design as my minor. There is an opportunity before me that will give me invaluable experience that will help me in the next phases of my college application process. I am applying to two programs and will choose only one if accepted. Each of them cost roughly $3,000.

The funds I raise will help to pay for these programs, as well as costs for studio sessions, voice lessons, and piano accompanist fees to prepare for college pre-screens.

The theatre has changed my life in so many ways. It has taught me how to step out of my comfort zone, to work hard at my goals, to work with peers effectively and efficiently, the importance of community, how to have fun, and how to use my voice in ways I never imagined possible. I hope to embody and share these values throughout my life. With your help, the programs I am applying to would stretch my knowledge of the musical theatre world even further. My target to reach this goal is by my birthday, March 26th, 2020.

If you are interested in more details of the opportunities...

The first program I am applying to is Penn State's S.T.A.T.E. Musical Theatre Program (Summer Theatre Artistic Training Experience). This program is a two week immersion experience on Penn State's campus, where I will get a taste of the rigorous training that Penn State's Musical Theatre major offers. For insight on the program, visit the website!

The second program, which I have been invited to, is the National Student Leadership Convention on Theatre, held at Fordham University in New York. This one week program will allow me to live and learn in New York City, and have access to all the city has to offer. For more information, visit the website!

I hope you will consider donating to my cause, and I am eternally grateful for all of your support!

Sincerely,
Brooke:)
