Brooke's Mission Trip to Haiti

Hello family and friends!
Over my spring break (March 3rd-11th) I will be traveling over seas to Les Cayes, Haiti, with a group of 7 other girls from Ignite Church. While on this trip, our team will be serving alongside YWAM (Youth with a Mission) to help young children in orphanages hear the gospel and know that they are loved. We plan to hold a VBS for the kids, do arts and crafts with the families, and help out with pretty much any other need the community may have. For a few months now, I feel as if God has been calling me to go on this trip and I am excitedly and nervously waiting to see what kind of miracles He has planned. I want to thank you all for the love and support you have given me for as long as I can remember.
Now that I've explained the mission.... This is how YOU can help! Even if you are not able to go to Haiti with us, you have the opportunity to help change a child's life.
Up front, this trip was going to cost us each $1,500. Since registering for the trip, the original price of $1,500 has been raised to $1,750 due to some people backing out and having trouble buying plane tickets. On top of that cost, I am having to buy clothes that fit our dress-code, a passport (which is much more expensive than I had expected), medications, and many other necessities for the trip. My fundraising goal for this page is $2,000 to cover any possible expenses.
As I mentioned above, I plan to buy clothes that fit our dress-code with the money that is donated through this page. I will leave all the clothes I buy with this money in Haiti for young girls who are in need. I will also donate any extra money that I do not spend while preparing for the trip to the missionaries who are stationed in Les Cayes.
Please do not feel like you HAVE to give to this cause, only do it if you feel led to. And if you genuinely want to donate to our trip but do not have the finances to do so, we will take as many prayers as we can get. Pray not only that God will be moving in the lives of the girls that are flying to Haiti, but for the people who already reside in the town of Les Cayes. Pray that their eyes and their hearts will be softened and ready to receive the good news of Jesus Christ. Again, thank you all so much, I love each and every one of you!
