Bronx Fire Victims: Nathania's Family
Donation protected
Hey Everyone,
My name is Nathania Scott and I’m trying to raise money for my mom & autistic little brother who recently lost everything they owned in a Bronx fire, due to the negligence of the building owners and management company.
The morning of January 10, 2025, around 2:25am, I received a text message and a video of my mother’s apartment building engulfed in flames. It was 28 degrees outside and my mother, brother, daughter, and my little sister were outside in the cold, while their belongings and lifetime memories were burning and destroyed. For hours, firefighters and first responders worked tirelessly on the electrical fire that lasted the entire morning. Firefighters tried for hours to put the fire out, but it would reignite in a different area and become engulfed again.
There are a number of families who lost everything that morning.
PARKASH 2910 L.L.C., the owners and management company, had many violations and due to their negligence, they should be held responsible. But for now, my mom, little brother, and sister are currently homeless and have lost everything.
I watched my mom work hard and provide for me and my siblings selflessly her whole life after my dad died in 1999. My mom still works hard every day, even working overtime at transit to provide for herself and my brother. It is overwhelmingly heartbreaking to see my mom lose everything that she’s worked so hard for at no fault of her own. She doesn’t like asking for anything. So I’ve created this GoFundMe for anyone willing to help me help my mom. Even if you can’t donate, contact Parkash Management and demand justice.
Not just for my family but for the families of this building and all buildings in NYC that cost so much and do so little for their tenants. It’s horrible that the working-class people of NYC have to go through this.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
