Bronte's Medical Fund
For those who know Bronte, knows that she is always there when anybody needs her. For those who do not, Bronte will drop what she is doing to comfort those in need, give rides to get groceries, and opens her home when anyone needs a place to stay. She hardly asks for anything in return, but now she is more than deserving of a helping hand, and she needs it.
This is something Bronte' wanted to add to her story:
"Hey guys! I just wanted to start out by letting you know I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I am a 23 year old, who loves hanging out with friends, hiking, cooking, sculpture, playing with my cat Indie, my sorority (Delta Phi Epsilon), The Relay for Life and so much more. Lately I haven’t been able to enjoy a lot of these and other things, because I have a very rare immune disorder. My insurance has recently stopped covering treatments for my disorder, and causes me to live every day in pain and sickness. I have Hyper IgD Syndrome, a disease only 200 people in the US have, which causes quite a lot of problems. I get flare-ups, where I will have every symptom of the flu from anywhere from a few days to weeks, including high grade fevers. I also catch bacterial and viral infections super easily, especially of the respiratory system, I get white blood cell spikes, have horrible joint pain, abdominal pain, and migraines, along with other symptoms. Sometimes this causes me to have to spend stints of time in the hospital, and because of all of this I am currently unable to hold a steady job. With having to call out constantly due to random drops in my immune system or a flare up, or just how unsafe it is for me to be in public with the amount of germs, it is near impossible to work. In October, I had a second hip surgery, and due to a recent car crash I will most likely be having a third surgery on my hip. SSI has denied me so far and I am still going through multiple appeal processes, but right now I am drowning in bills. I know it is time for me to ask for help, because right now I need support that I am unable to provide for myself.
