Get Brody to Thailand with Team USA

Donation protected
Brody Joseph, an incoming Senior at Waunakee High School, has been a fan of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) since he can remember.  At the age of twelve, Brody started training in Muay Thai Kickboxing under Kru Mike Vaughn, previously of The Blast Muay Thai.  Less than a year after his first class, Brody competed in a national competition, winning the title belt by way of KO.  Since then, Brody has gone on to win four belts in five years.
In 2014, during a championship bout, it was obvious to his parents and trainers that something was terribly wrong.  Brody was unable to catch his breath, and was running out of energy very quickly.  That was the one fight he lost, but may be the most important fight of his career.  Upon returning home, and multiple doctors visits, it was discovered that Brody had a 14 mm hole in his heart, called an Atrial Septal Defect.  Not only did he have this anomaly, he was nearing heart failure.  The pediatric cardiologist at UW Hospital said that if not fixed, Brody would need a heart transplant within the next ten years.  It was a Thursday afternoon, and the following Monday morning Brody underwent a cardiac catheterization which repaired his heart defect, in hopes that the damage to his heart was not permanent.  Four weeks after the procedure, Brody had an echocardiogram that showed a perfectly normal sized and normal functioning heart.  Brody went on to win his third belt the following June.
On June 20th of this year, Brody fought in his fifth Championship bout, catching the eye of Team USA scouts.  Brody has been invited to represent the USA, fighting for Team USA in Thailand, August 24th-September 2nd 2016.  We're asking for donations to help Brody follow his dream to make it to Thailand as a representative of the United States.  Brody will no longer be working full time, so he may focus on training.  Donations will cover the cost of training, Team USA gear, travel expenses for him and one parent, and any other miscellaneous expenses.
