Brodsky Family Fund

On Friday, May 18, 2018 my brother in law, Dr. Neil A. Brodsky passed away far far too early at the age of 49 after a very hard-fought, 5 week battle with a highly aggressive cancer. He leaves behind my sister, Michelle and their three children, Matthew (17), Amanda and Lauren (both 15). Such a tragedy brings unexpected funeral expenses as well as other expenses that Neil, as the family breadwinner would have provided in the upcoming years - specifically,  college tuition and even just basic things like health insurance. 

With Neil's sudden loss, It will be some time before she figures out the next steps. We plan for these things when we are old, certainly not when we are only halfway through our lives.

She is appreciative of the gestures that have been made and the requests that people have sent to her and to me. This is truly an overwhelming response to Neil's untimely passing. In light of the many requests which have been coming in, I have spoken with Michelle and have her permission to start this GoFundMe for her and the kids. Please consider making a donation. Every penny goes directly to them. Neil as a doctor in the Toms River, NJ community gave so much to so many. He treated people with respect and dignity, in life and in death (he was also an Ocean County Medical Examiner). He treated those he worked with respect and he was a revered colleague who others looked up to. Neil was a great father and was always there for his children. I will always remember him donning a pink shirt and taking part in the breast cancer walk in my honor when I was diagnosed three years ago. He was my sister's soul mate. All of that is irreplaceable.
