Brodhead "Wheat Plains" Restoration

Donation protected
"Wheat Plains" is the Historical Homestead of Revolutionary War Patriot Lieutenant Garret Brodhead located at Mile Marker 8, Route 209 between East Stroudsburg and Bushkill Falls, PA.  It has been selected for restoration by The National Park Service, Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area.  This fundraiser is in conjunction with monies set aside by the NPS.  Estimated cost of the restoration is a little over $1,000.000 so The DePuy/Brodhead Family Association (a non-profit) is trying to assist in the restoration in various forms.  Once restored, the Homestead will be utilized by the NPS in various venues including Educational in the areas of Cultural and Social Anthropology.  This Homestead was one of many that was obtained by the NPS through eminent domain for the Tocks Island Dam Project that was never built.  "Wheat Plains" was selected for restoration by the NPS in the Fall of 2018 and is located in the beautiful Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area of the Pocono.  We would like to thank you in advance for your donation as it will help preserve the Rich Heritage of South Eastern PA and the Pocono's.
