My name is Monica Rector, and I am a close friend of Brittney Parrish and her family.
On Monday, May 22nd Brittney's father took her to Urgent Care because she was exhibiting mono like symptoms that she hadn’t been able to shake. After some testing, Brittney was taken to the Medical Center for evaluation. It was then they were given the news that Brittney has Acute Leukemia. After further testing, Brittney was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
As soon as the specific type of Myeloid Leukemia is diagnosed, Brittney will then be transferred to an out of state facility to treat her cancer.
Brittney is a 28 year old wife to Terris, her husband of 4 years, and a mother to her 10-month-old baby girl, Emery Rose. Brittney is such a beautiful person and is always putting others before herself. This will not only be a physical battle for her, but an emotional one as well. Spending months away from her family and Emery will be very hard. Thankfully, Brittney has faith in God and knows that He will hold her throughout this entire process. She also has a strong support system with her family and friends. Many have asked "what can I do to help?" This is the perfect opportunity for you to support them throughout this battle.
Asking for help is never easy, but as you can imagine, this will be an unexpected financial strain on the family. All money donated will be used to help with expenses incurred due to Brittney's illness. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
