Brittney and Kris’s journey to becoming whole

If anyone of you know Brittney And Kris Washington, you know they are nothing but amazing people, as individuals and as a married couple, they are a powerhouse. They are truly a blessing to anyone who’s lives they are a part of.
Brittney has bravely shared their journey with very few people, as it is one that has been extremely difficult for them both. However, recently Brittney has unknowingly and selflessly helped many other women in a group she is in, feel as if they are not alone in their struggles by sharing her journey.
“One miscarriage. Countless negative Pregnancy tests, so many let downs”. After trying to conceive for over 4 years now, they finally have answers, however, they were not what they had hoped for. In their first meeting with a specialist, they were told to “keep trying, be patient, you’re both healthy”. And that’s what they did. After countless heartbreaks and let downs, they sought a second opinion. They ran test after test, and they all came back healthy! Well the next step was checking Brittney’s fallopian tubes and ovaries for any issues lying there. In April of 2019, they performed a procedure where they discovered an ovarian cyst and a complete blockage of both of Fallopian tubes. In June of 2019, Brittney had surgery in order to remove the blockage, however they were unsuccessful and their hearts were broken yet again, but they remained strong and hopeful (as they are) and kept going. After this, they went through two treatments of IUI, both of which were unsuccessful. Their only option now is IVF. Because of the pandemic, many appointments were delayed and cancelled- but I’m really hoping these two amazing people get their chance in 2021 as a new start to becoming the amazing parents I know they will be.
Many aren’t aware of the emotional toll and the financial burden of infertility. Most insurance covers nothing, and it is all out of pocket and is extremely expensive. Brittney and Kris are both two of the hardest working people I know- and also two of the most humble and deserving people. I truly hope to help reduce the financial strain, while they are on their journey to be become to parents and becoming whole.
