Hello all!

My name is Pam Kraus. I was born with a condition called Osteogenesis Imperfect (aka Brittle Bone Disease). This means my bones are very fragile and they fracture easily. In my 66 years of living, I have had over 70 fractures and over 18 surgeries. Despite my condition, I have never shied away from hard work to support myself. My mom and my siblings all have the same condition, and my parents raised us not to depend on others.

However, in the last year, my ability to function independently has declined due to worsening back pain and recurrent fractures. There are medications and treatments available to help me regain my independence. But with increasing medical costs on a fixed income (and Medicare not covering some of the treatments), I am needing extra help to be able to afford them.
