Brittany's Wish

Hello to everyone reading this post. My name is Melissa Rowland and I am Brittany's mother. Brittany was born with cerebral palsy. She has had several surgeries which range from a head shunt to a rod down her back to metal plates in her hands and feet, along with screws in both hips.

Her father (Antonio) and I work very hard at making sure she has the best life that we can give. Whatever she needs, we will sacrifice so that she has it or gets it. Recently she received a mobile wheelchair and we are so grateful for it. Because she has this chair we are having to remodel our home to accommodate for her safety and ability to be more independent. We are currently closing in the garage to change it into a handicap accessible room with an open shower.

The delimma that we are facing is once the job is complete we will not have enough money to add on a garage. The garage is needed to help during all types of weather conditions. It can be a great challenge trying to get her in and out of the car during inclement weather without the proper loading area. Our contractor has quoted a price of $25,000 to add on a garage that will allow Brittany easy access in and out of the house.
