Hello Deva Family,
I’m sure you’ve heard it’s raining cats and dogs down Texas way.
They’re saying it’s the worst flooding Texas has seen in 50+ years!
Brittney Paradis, one of our very first Curl Coaches, hails from Houston Texas. She’s been staying in touch via text and we know she’s on safe ground, but not before she evacuated her home seeking higher ground. Text comes in from Brittany: “it’s a sad time, we’re moving to the attic and hoping a boat will come get us.” Just two days later, Brittany’s report is looking up, she’s focused on helping others in true Curl Coach fashion, delivering food to her Aunt’s house—now a safe-haven for up to 40 displaced by the flood.
Brittney joined the Curl Coach team early on in central Texas and has been a steady hand at many DevaCurl events over the past year. She has supported DevaCurl’s Military Exchange events, staff trainings and masterfully coached curly girls at industry trade shows. She also has an 11-month baby boy!
Her husband, formerly in the Army, is now a pipe fitter! So, we know they’ll come out on top… but let’s all pitch in toward Brittany’s relief after the flood.
We will be withdrawing the funds into our Deva bank account and sending matching funds when we send the check to Brittany.
