Brittani's Trip to Haiti

Howdy! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the mission trip I will be taking this summer.
I have been given the wonderful opportunity to travel to Haiti this summer through an organization called CoreLuv, which works to provide care and basic needs for hundreds of thousands of orphans around the world. I will be serving alongside a team working to serve orphans, develop teamwork and ministry skills, and most importantly grow closer to God!
CoreLuv's Vision Statement:
There are more than 153,000,000 orphans in the world today and only 250,000 will be adopted each year. At this rate, it would take over 600 years to adopt each of the world’s current orphans, not including the 1,750 children that continue to be orphaned every day. The sad truth is that most orphans will not be adopted! That is why Coreluv International was founded in 2011 with the sole purpose to Defend the Orphan. The dream of Coreluv International is to bring the love of Jesus to orphans by partnering with communities and orphanages around the world to provide 6 basic needs: clean water, food, education, healthcare, job skills, and a loving environment to call home.
What we will be doing:
My team and I will be serving in a variety of areas such as helping lead mission teams, visiting other teams, serving the children in the orphanage, creating activities for the children, and working on construction projects. Our day-to-day activities will depend on the present needs in-country.
What you can do:
Pray for me, my team, and CoreLuv. Prayer is a very important and beneficial part of ministry and the mission of CoreLuv. Please pray for my team members and I as we prepare for our trip this summer and for the efforts of CoreLuv as we work to serve and follow God.

Spread the word and stay updated with developments of the trip. I will be posting updates on Facebook as the trip grows closer to keep everyone up to date. I will also be sending out periodic emails with updates on the progress of the trip, specific prayer requests, and other information. Talk to me and ask questions. I want to be completely open about every aspect of this trip and share the excitement with everyone, so feel free to message or email with any questions you may have. I will be raising $3000 to cover the cost of the trip and donations of any amount are greatly appreciated as I work toward this goal.
The breakdown of expenses is as follows: $1600 for housing, food, and other on the ground issues; $1000 will be for airfare to and from the country. The remaining $400 is for miscellaneous expenses such as shots and medical expenses for the trip, passport fees, and items specific to the projects we will be doing while there. Anything not spent directly on the trip WILL be given to mission efforts in some way, ensuring that all of the money is used for the betterment of the Haitian people.

If you would rather give via a check or cash this is also a great option. My home church, Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist, will be handling all the physical donations so that we can provide you with a contribution receipt.
