Brittany's Mission to Haiti

In 2013 my sister and brother-in-law surprised us all by deciding to take a mission trip to Haiti with their church. They came back with a different perspective on life, it was a life changing trip for them.  As I am currently in the process of some life changes, the opportunity to go to Haiti was presented to me.  After careful consideration, prayer and uncertainty, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and do something different, difficult and what I hope will be positive and life altering for myself.  
Haiti is currently the poorest country in the Americas with a history of political violence and devastating earthquakes.  The church I will be joining will be spending time with kids in rural cities, churches and orphanages around Cap Haitien.  We'll be helping them with any manual labor they may need as well as having Bible lessons, worship and playing with the local children.  

As terrified as I am to be undertaking this adventure I'm excited about what I may be able to accomplish while I'm there.  Any words of encouragment would go a long way and prayers are what I need most.  I could also use assistance to help me raise funds.  I'll be leaving March 13th returning on the 21st.  I'll be keeping y'all updated on our progress.  Thanks for the support!
