Brink Beats Cancer

For those of you who don't know, Jeff Brink was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to his liver. After meeting with several experts in oncology, he learned that the tumor on his liver is inoperable because of its size. This was rather devastating news for so many reasons, including the fact that he has been in an immense amount of pain as a result of the tumor. 

Jeff was presented with very few options outside of aggressive chemotherapy and radiation, which can have life threatening side effects. However, after speaking with a family friend with a very similar diagnosis, the family has decided to pursue a form of treatment that has proven effective in treating this aggressive form of cancer, without flooding the body with as many harmful toxins that often cause irreversible damage to the immune system.  

After being accepted as a candidate for the treatment, Jeff will be flying to Arizona to begin Insulin Potentiation Therapy at the Euromed Foundation.  IPT is an alternative cancer treatment using insulin as an adjunct to low-dose chemotherapy.  In conjunction with IPT,  he will be fully changing his diet and working on building his immune system in hopes of shrinking the tumors and preventing the cancer cells from growing.  This treatment is not covered by insurance and comes with a tremendous price tag. Our goal today is to allow Jeff to focus on his recovery without worrying about the financial stresses that will surely be presented as a result of this necessary treatment.
