Bring Us Home

On December of 2016, our dad was deported. Our five stepbrothers and stepsisters who were all under the age of nine and U.S. citizens were left in the States with their mom. This situation unleashed a series of challenges for his family; the burden of being without dad's financial and emotional support became so overwhelming, they had to move to Tijuana, Mexico to try to start a life together. Needless to say, this transition has been incredibly challenging in every aspect for both my dad and his family.

My dad has had to endure a lot, from living in the streets to staying in homeless and refugee shelters. His family has also been through so much; they were evicted from their home in Fallbrook and are now living with my dad in a 200 square feet space that only has a half a bathroom, they sleep in sofas and their health has taken a toll this Winter. We helped my dad start a small upholstery shop but business has been very slow and it does not bring in enough income to take care of seven people. We have also helped with food and other supplies but at this point, the help we are able to provide is not merely enough.

After much deliberation, we are absolutely convinced that our siblings and their mom need to move back to the States. We want our siblings to have all the benefits and opportunities that their home country can provide for them. They are so smart, so talented and we know that if their mom and them get the right help they will have a better chance for a brighter future.

For this reason, our desire is to try to raise enough money to help them transition back to San Diego. In order for us to begin this process, we want to raise funds to cover the inevitable costs that come with this type of life change. Any donations that we receive will go towards helping them with basic needs such as housing, food, transportation, and furniture. We want the kids and their mom to have an apartment where they can sleep comfortably and that will ultimately allow them to start building a home. These children are so, so precious and our hearts break for them and for this reason we want to do more.

Our goals:

· Raise $10,000 to help with housing costs for a couple of months until they can receive other forms of assistance.

· Receive any food and furniture donations once they have a place to live.

· Ride, help them get a better minivan since the one they currently have has many mechanical problems.

We know that this is not an easy task and that it will take a lot of work to make this happen. For this reason, we are reaching out to our friends and anyone that would like to help five beautiful children and their mom get their life back together. We are grateful we get to count on you and we praise God in advance for all that we know He will do through you!
