So, long story short, we are still pushing forward on this adoption and truly believe the end is near. The judicial processes has taken a bit longer than initially antcipated. We've had several additional court hearings and the cost have quickly added up again. We hope this will be over with very soon and appreciate everyone's thoughts and continued prayers.
As many of you know, our family was blessed with the adoption of our daughters (Phyllis and Reyna) in January 2016. Six months ago we became aware that our girls' full biological baby sister had become eligible for adoption. We knew these girls deserve to grow up together in the same family, as sisters should, and immediately took action.
The process for placement change from her current foster home and to unify sisters has been very challenging. There have been major "hurdles" that have forced our hand into hiring legal representation. We were not prepared financially for this heading in, but have managed to pay well over half of our legal fees out of pocket. We are quickly realizing the financial strain as we prepare for this life change. We are willing to do whatever is necessary to fight for this little girl . . . and are asking you, our friends and family, to help us in uniting these sisters!
