Just two weeks after returning, I received the most devastating news a mother could ever receive: my son, Marcial Pivaral-Diaz, 40 years old, was murdered in Baltimore, Maryland.</strong>

 <strong>There are no words to describe the pain I feel. As a mother, I always thought I would be the one to pass away first—not my son. I never imagined that I would have to face the loss of my child while also battling my own illness.</strong>

 <strong>My greatest wish is to bring my son back to Guatemala so I can give him a proper farewell and lay him to rest with the love and dignity he deserves. Unfortunately, I do not have the financial resources needed to cover the cost of repatriating his remains.</strong>
