<div><strong>Jeremy Clarkson</strong>, a British television presenter and journalist, has been accused of making <strong>racist and discriminatory</strong> comments on several occasions, including using the N-word and making offensive jokes about ethnic and national groups. His views have too often been amplified by the <strong>British tabloid press</strong>, who have a reputation for promoting divisive and damaging content and contributing to <strong>societal polarisation</strong> through sensational headlines and controversial issues.

<div>In response to Meghan Markle's concerns about being targeted by the press and at times feeling suicidal as a result, Clarkson wrote an article in The Sun newspaper stating that she should be "<strong>made to parade naked through the streets</strong>" while people “<strong>throw lumps of excrement at her</strong>”. The article has received 20,000 complaints and 60 MPs have called for the paper to apologise, which they’ve failed to do. Regardless of your views on Meghan Markle and the documentary, <strong>this is clearly hate speech and must not stand.</strong>

<div>We are not hopeful that the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) will hold the press accountable for spreading hate. The Ipso Chairman is known to be close to Rupert Murdoch. <strong>We have therefore resorted to crowdfunding for legal action to be taken against Jeremy Clarkson and The Sun, and its editor Victoria Newton. </strong>
