Bringing Home The World Cup Title

My name is Ayecia and I’m a local competitive powerlifter. The time has finally come for me to leave it all on the platform! I have been lifting for 3yrs now and recently won 2 National titles in the Open & Submasters divisions in June of this year. Since then, I have been invited to compete for the World Cup in Idaho Falls, ID on September 2nd!! I have already started my preparations to physically compete for the World title representing the US in the 90kg weight class. As I prepare for the big day in 9wks mentally and physically, I am also preparing financially. With these major competitions there are a lot of expenses that come along with stepping onto a World platform. I am currently working hard to become the next sponsored athlete out of Lakeland, FL. Never in a million years did I think I would be at this place in my life. The woman who was once severely overweight and out of shape, now competing in a World competition! Powerlifting has saved my life…literally! Being able to fight back from abuse and depression has given me my power back. And with my knowledge and training in this sport, I’m going to breathe life into this sport in my community.

Let’s bring this World Title back to Polk County!!
