Bringing Holiday Cheer to Long-term Care Residents

With COVID-19 still very much a part of our lives, these are difficult times for many of us. For those who are living in long-term care facilities, this is especially true. Many of these LTC residents have gone months with limited access to their family and friends. And with the holiday season fast approaching, that isolation will only become more difficult. That is why I, through my organization 'The Lived Experience Initiative', am hoping to raise funds to provide gifts for the residents of some of the 17 LTC facilities in Ottawa. These funds will go directly towards purchasing items such as: jig-saw puzzles, board games, puzzle books, playing cards, adult colouring books & colouring supplies, flowers, stuffed animals, large-print books, etc. for these residents.
