Chris was found the night of April 11th and now it is time to put him to rest. We are asking for donations to help with the service costs as we celebrate his life. Case history:
Our brother, son, uncle, friend, and beloved family member, Chris Oien has been missing since January 14th. Chris went to Deadwood, SD to stay the night but never used his hotel room that night. He was last seen running through the streets and had called a friend stating he was being chased. We believe that he was in trouble, as this is extremely unusual behavior for him. The family and some of those working on the case are worried about foul play.
For those of you who had the pleasure to know Chris know that he was one to stay out of sight and out of trouble. We believe that night he found himself in trouble.
We still have not found Chris or any real answers on what happened that night. It's extremely frustrating, knowing that Deadwood truly is not that big. The locals, someone, knows something. And for those who do, we will NOT stop.
Words cannot describe what Chris means to us, our family is broken since his disappearance. We love Chris, he is so dearly missed. Please help us find Chris. This is NOT what he deserves. Everyday our emotions are at a standstill. Heartbroken, but not fully grieving, angry and confused, but not able to move forward. Not having an answer is a sort of torment that's beyond just losing someone. We feel in our hearts he's gone, but he deserves for the truth to be known. Every day we wait for that truth and the answers, please help us get to them.
We appreciate everyone that has helped support our family through this. We ask to please keep sharing information until he is found.
Chris is 6 feet tall, 155 pounds, with hazel eyes and blonde hair or may be bald.
