Bring "The Taming of the Shrew" to Williams Park

Tax deductible
Want to be part of something amazing?
The Studio @ 620 is bringing SHAKESPEARE IN THE CITY back to Williams park! Last year's partnership with St. Petersburg Shakespeare Festival was just the beginning--this year we're again pairing up to bring another artistic adaptation of Shakespeare's works to the city!

"The Taming of the Shrew" will be directed by Studio 620  Artistic Director and Founder Bob Devin Jones, co-directed by Veronica Matthews of the St. Petersburg Shakespeare Festival.  Together they'll create a unique performative experience for the entire community.
Performances will run over the weekends of November 7-10 and 14-17, 2019 in downtown St. Petersburg's historic Williams Park.  Admission will be free and open to all who want to attend.

In an effort to make  "The Taming of the Shrew" accessible to everyone in of our community, we are offering free admission, for a world class presentation! However, free to attend doesn't mean free to produce-- a production of this size comes with equally large expenses, which is why your contributions are so important.  We're asking you to help support the success of this landmark production with a financial contribution. YOU can make this play happen for everyone!

You gift will help us cover production costs including: actor salaries, creative team salaries, stage crew, production expenses (lighting, sound, set, costumes and props) -- You'll feel good knowing that you had a part in presenting one of Shakespeare’s most beloved works!

Thank you for helping us as we continue to fulfill The Studio @ 620's mission :
To provide a place where people can experience artistic and educational programs in innovative ways.
To bring people from diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences together as artists, audiences and volunteers.
To work collaboratively with artistic, educational, and cultural organizations in and beyond our community.
To develop artistic and educational programs that integrate a variety of art forms in order to encourage new cultural experiences both for the audience and the artists.
