Bring The Corona Kitchen Cookbook To Life!

Welcome to the Corona Kitchen, a project by Debrianna Mansini and Lisa Lucas!

The Corona Kitchen began as a way for two creatives to find peace and comfort during the uncertain early days of the shelter-in-place quarantine. Within a matter of weeks, the kitchen began to rapidly evolve, opening its doors to home chefs and professionals from across the world to come together in communion over friendship and good food without judgement. What started as a private evening cooking/coping session spiraled into a collective effort to disengage from the deluge of self-quarantine through the power of camaraderie and home cooking. Despite having to maintain a distance of six feet apart, the Corona Kitchen has managed to unite foodies from all walks of life around the globe.

As writers, actors and producers, the goal of Corona Kitchen was always to eventually broaden our horizons and engage in creative outlets outside the sphere of social media -- with our cookbook, “That Time We Ate Our Feelings”--A Year in the Corona Kitchen on the horizon, we are excited to see where else the Corona Kitchen and the community we have built will eventually take us!

As our publication deadline to meet a Mother’s Day debut approaches, we wanted to reach out to you, our dear readers, viewers, and contributors, to help us fundraise for our obligatory expenses as authors to our publisher in order to bring our vision to life. We are asking for $15,000 to help cover getting the cookbook to print. The money raised will be distributed to pay for our top notch food photographer, Penina Meisels, our food stylist, and the studio time necessary to shoot the high-quality images for our book. The remaining funds will be used to purchase the ingredients necessary to produce the 150+ recipes that will be going into the book, as well as the costs to cover our creative team for the shoot, our fabulous lawyer and our amazing assistant, Jane.

We understand that this is a time where many of us are hurting for money, and we respect that not everyone can make a contribution right now, but we hope that some generous members of our community who have appreciated our work for these past ten months (220 episodes and counting!) will be willing to help give us the extra push! If everyone who interacts with the Corona Kitchen donated as little as $5, we would be well on our way to meeting our goal.

Anyone who donates at least $5 or more will have their name listed in the special thanks section  of our cookbook. Donations of $150 will be sent a copy of the cookbook signed by our co-founders, Lisa and Debrianna. And donations of $500 will receive a special Corona Kitchen apron hand-made by Debrianna.

Debrianna, Lisa, and the Corona Kitchen team thank you for your generosity! As we always say, food is love and you all continue to make our day with your culinary finesse and fierce photo stylings! THANK YOU!!
