Hello, my name is Kyle and I am the father of a beautiful girl named Roxy. My daughter is autistic, nonverbal, and experiences significant challenges with sensory processing, emotional regulation, and motor coordination. When she becomes overwhelmed or unhappy, she sometimes engages in self-harming behaviors, which are heartbreaking and difficult to manage. We’ve worked hard to create safe, comforting environments for her at home, including swings, sensory toys, and quiet spaces, but nothing soothes and centers her like being in water. A therapy pool provides a unique combination of physical relief, sensory calm, and emotional regulation that we haven’t been able to replicate elsewhere. In the water, she is calm, engaged, and at peace.
We are a family of seven, with four other children. My wife is a full-time stay-at-home mom who devotes her days to managing our household and ensuring our daughter’s needs are met. I work in IT to support our family financially, but the cost of installing a therapy pool is beyond our current means. This pool wouldn’t just serve as therapy—it would be a lifeline. It would offer our daughter a consistent, safe outlet for her energy and emotions, and it would bring tremendous relief and balance to our entire family.
We are committed to doing everything we can to help our daughter, and we’re prepared to contribute what we can financially toward the cost of a therapy pool. However, the total expense is far beyond what we can manage on our own, especially with a large family and one income. That’s why we’re humbly asking for help.
