Bring Our Sons Home

Peter's sons, Peter Chibuike (Age 9) and  Emmanuel Akachukwo (Age 7) just received their U.S. visas two weeks ago. Peter went to Nigeria June 8th in order to be present for their Visa interviews on June 12th at the American Consulate Office in Lagos, Nigeria. He returned home on June 17th to begin his new job at Mercyhealth Rockton on June 19th. Two days after Peter returned home, Chibuike fell sick with Typhoid Fever, Malaria, and some kind of anemia, requiring hospitalization. Prior to Peter's arrival in Nigeria, Emmanuel had been very sick for most of his life with various diseases which are present in many places in Africa.

The money raised will be spent on an airline ticket for Peter to go and escort his sons back to America, so we will need three airline tickets, which can cost as much as nearly $2,000 each. Hopefully, we can get them cheaper. We are making this request because we need the money as soon as possible in order to rescue these boys from illness and escalating danger due to political and economic instability in Nigeria.

Our present economic situation is that I am working a full-time job with part-time pay. Peter just got his BSN at Rockford University in May and has not yet taken his NCLEX (state boards). He has not been able to work full-time for the past 2.5 years since he has been in the nursing program, which has been very expensive. We were able to scrape the $2000+ money for Peter's recent visit to Nigeria for the boy's Visas. 

We would be extremely grateful for any amount of help you could afford to give us for the purpose of getting these boys to America. No amount is too small or insignificant.
