<div>Mi tío Pablo es una de las personas más trabajadoras y bondadosas que uno podría conocer. Tiene dos trabajos para poder cubrir los gastos y siempre se ha asegurado de que a su familia no le falte nada. Durante 14 años ha sido un padre dedicado para sus tres hijos y el único proveedor del hogar. Es el tipo de persona que siempre está dispuesto a ayudar a sus amigos y seres queridos—tiene un corazón enorme.

<div>El sábado 15 de noviembre,  alrededor de las 7:30 de la mañana, Pablo y mi tía solo estaban caminando en la calle 4 (cerca del chano) en Lakewood NJ para ir à la tienda cuando agentes de inmigración los detuvieron de repente. Fueron llevados bajo custodia sin explicación. La única razón por la que mi tía pudo regresar a casa fue porque les suplicó que la dejaran ir ya que sus tres hijos estaban esperándolos.

<div>Desde ese momento, el mundo de nuestra familia cambió por completo.

<div>Pablo está actualmente detenido en Delaney Hall. Tenemos muy poca comunicación con él y no sabemos cómo se encuentra. Él no hizo nada malo—se lo llevaron injustamente y de manera forzada. Su corte es el 25 de noviembre, y necesitamos contratar a un abogado lo antes posible. Si le otorgan una fianza, también necesitaremos ayuda para poder pagarla. Esta es la primera vez que algo así sucede en nuestra familia, y estamos asustados, confundidos y tratando de mantenernos fuertes.

<div>Mi tía no tiene ingresos ahora que Pablo no está. Está luchando para mantener a sus tres hijos sola. Los niños lloran todos los días y siguen preguntando por su papá. No quieren salir de la casa porque tienen miedo de no regresar y no volver a verlo. Mi tía se culpa demasiado, y todo lo que queremos es que Pablo regrese para que esta familia pueda estar unida nuevamente.

<div>My uncle Pablo is one of the hardest-working and kindest people you could ever meet. He works two jobs just to keep up with bills and has always made sure his family is taken care of. For 14 years, he has been a devoted father to his three children and the sole provider for his home. He is the type of person who would give anything to help a friend or family member—his heart is truly big.

<div>On Saturday morning, November 15th, around 7:30 AM, Pablo and my aunt were simply walking down 4th street in Lakewood NJ, going to the store when immigration officers suddenly stopped them. They were taken into custody without explanation. The only reason my aunt was able to get away was because she begged them to let her go since their three kids were at home waiting for them.

<div>Since that moment, our family’s world has completely changed.

<div>Pablo is currently being held at Delaney Hall. We have very limited communication with him and we don’t know how he’s doing. He did nothing wrong—he was taken forcefully and unfairly. His court date is on November 25th, and we desperately need to hire a lawyer as soon as possible. If Pablo is given a bond, we will also need help paying it. This is the first time anything like this has happened to our family and we are overwhelmed, scared, and trying our best to stay strong.

<div>My aunt has no income now that Pablo is gone. She is struggling to support their three kids on her own. The kids cry every day and keep asking for their dad. They don’t want to leave the house because they’re afraid they won’t come back and see him again. My aunt blames herself nonstop, and all we want is to get Pablo home so this family can be whole again.
