Bring Mizza to the USA!

Donation protected
Eguins and I have not seen Mizza since March of 2015. It doesn't quite do it justice to say that we miss her. It's hard to miss so many of the little moments and the big moments. When we left, Mizza was a sassy 2 1/2 year old! Now she is a smart and still sassy 4 3/4 year old! We left Haiti for the US in March 2015 to begin our journey as husband and wife! It's been a wonderful journey, but something is missing. Someone. Mizza is Eguins' daughter and my stepdaughter. It's not easy to be so far away from her. We've had many conversations over the past few years, between us and Mizza's Mom on the possibility of moving Mizza here to live with us. It was a decision that the three of us along with God's guidance made together. I want to be very clear when I say that this would not be happening if Mizza's Mom was not 110% a part of this and behind this. We all trust that this is where God wants her to be. Fast forward to September 2016. We sent in the first paperwork to begin the long stressful visa process of bringing her here! It was a huge step forward and we continue to live by faith that everything will happen in God's time! This past year, Eguins and I have had some major setbacks with employment, finances, and health scares etc. It's been quite a test of faith through the storms. But God has never let us down. The downside to these set backs has meant we have not been able to save the funds we still need in order to cover all the expenses of finishing Mizza's paperwork, her medical exams, travel expenses and other random expenses that come from this process. We are also finding ourselves in a possible overlapping of Eguins next set of paperwork being within the same time frame as finishing up Mizza's visa process. So, when we sit down and add everything up, we just physically cannot do it ourselves. We are continuously praying  for guidance because we know it is only through God and the support of family and friends that the funds we are in desperate need of, will be met. It's an overwhelming amount for us. We cannot do it alone. Sometimes God asks us to humble ourselves and lean on others. It truly does take a village sometimes. And we are giving God the burden and trusting that He will make it happen. To be clear, we do not have a visa interview date yet for Mizza. But according to estimated timelines, it could be anytime in August or September. We may not get notice until right before the interview date. So, we are trying to be as prepared as we possibly can. In addition to asking for your financial support, we are asking for prayer support. We not only have these burdens, but an unspoken prayer request. I ask that you keep us all in your prayers through this journey and transition for Mizza. We also ask that if you have any side jobs, anything at all, give us a call! We would be happy to help, and it's a great way to earn extra income! We are hard workers! So let us know if there's anything we can help you with! Painting, yard work, building stuff, decoration stuff, babysitting, you name it! We want to say thank you for all the support you've given us through the years. Our journey hasn't been the typical journey, but it's our story and we are loving every minute of it, and are thankful to have you at our sides! God bless you all!
