<div>He was born on August 2, 1947, and passed on July 17, 2025, after a short battle with aggressive cancer. Though we knew his health was fragile, his passing came as a shock, and we were left unprepared.

<div>We’re now planning his memorial in California, followed by bringing him home to Guatemala so he can rest with his family.

<div>If you knew my dad, you know he was passionate, helpful, strong, talkative, and full of life. He touched many lives, and I cannot express how grateful we are to everyone who visited or called during his final days alongside with his active life. I want to apologize to those who find this shocking. As a family, we decided to keep his last moments private and intimate, as again, this was a shock for us as well, and we wanted to cherish our last moments together, and fortunately, he passed away in the arms of his children.

<div>Nació el 2 de agosto de 1947 y falleció el 17 de julio de 2025, después de una corta pero agresiva lucha contra el cáncer. Aunque sabíamos que su salud era frágil, su partida fue un gran impacto para nosotros y no estábamos preparados.

<div>Estamos planeando su ceremonia aquí en California, seguida por el deseo de llevarlo de regreso a Guatemala, para que pueda descansar junto a su familia.

<div>Si conocieron a mi papá, saben que era una persona apasionada, servicial, fuerte, conversadora y llena de vida. Tocó muchas vidas, y no tenemos palabras para agradecer a todos los que lo visitaron o llamaron durante sus últimos días. A quienes esta noticia les ha llegado de sorpresa, queremos pedir disculpas. Como familia, decidimos mantener sus últimos momentos en privado e íntimos, ya que también fue un shock para nosotros, y queríamos atesorar ese tiempo. Afortunadamente, pudo partir en los brazos de sus hijos.
