We did it!!! I am absolutely blown away, but we reached our goal of $50,000 in under 48 hours!! From the bottom, top and every side of our hearts THANK YOU for the amazing generosity each and every one of you has shown. Many of you already know and love Lukey; others are friends of the family and others are strangers who have been touched by Luke's story. To every single person who has donated from across the world thank you, terima kasih, taak sa mycket!
We have decided to keep the campaign open, as we unsure of what the final cost of the medical transport will be. This will be determined by the surgeons, and based on what medical equipment needs to be carried and what specialist staff will be required to accompany Luke on the flight. Any funds which are raised above what is required for the medical transport will go towards the ongoing cost of medical treatment once Luke returns to Australia. Every cent raised will support Lukey's recovery.
At this stage, we are keeping our fingers crossed that he may be cleared to travel early next week. This is pending the results of the 3rd CT scan which was done today. I will keep you all posted via this page.

As some of you already know, Lukey was in an accident Lombok, Indonesia and is currently in critical condition in hospital. His worst injuries include a fractured skull and punctured lung and he's undergone two surgeries so far, including removing a large piece of his skull. Lukey is unconscious, and will remain that way at least until his next CT scan.
He has family by his side, but our priority once he is cleared to travel is to bring him back to Australia where he will get further treatment and remain in hospital for quite some time. It is going to be a very long road to recovery, but Lukey is a fighter and he has so much love and support around him.
We are unsure when the neurosurgeon will clear him to travel, best case would be in 5-7 days. Early indications are that we are looking at $50,000 - 60,000 to transport him home. This is on top of his current medical bills in Lombok. As much as it is difficult to ask for help, we are reaching out to Lukeys friends and family for any financial support you might be able to afford to help bring him home. Every little bit helps and we thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts.
