<div><strong>Searching for humanity these days?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It begins with 1:1 connection.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We believe writing a letter is a great start.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A letter is the ultimate multi-tool, helping kids build <strong>empathy, critical thinking, fine motor skills, and creative expression</strong>—all without apps or expensive equipment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dearist is bringing letter writing to a new generation of kids, like the 780 students at Ms. Rasich’s school in our video above.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Help us reach our goal by Spring Break to bring Dearist into more schools this fall!</strong>

</div>
<div><strong>$100</strong>—Helps us produce Dearist teaching materials, including guidebooks and stationery sets for students
</div>
<div><strong>$500</strong>—Launches a Dearist classroom pilot
</div>
<div><strong>$1,000</strong>—Brings Dearist to multiple classrooms
</div>
<div><strong>$5,000</strong>—Equips an entire elementary school (of average size) to implement Dearist
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why It Matters</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Dearist mission is bold: to inspire creative expression and foster human connection.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Humanity has lost sight of these fundamental needs. In their absence, technology has crept into nearly every corner of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Most troubling is how this has affected the everyday lives of children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For most children today, schoolwork happens on screens. The shift from handwritten work to digital, often beginning in 3rd grade, surprises many who still imagine students with books and pencils at hand.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/98709161_1770044244608795_r.png" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What are children losing in a screen-based education?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This question inspired school librarian Carli Rasich (featured in our video) of Lehigh Valley, PA, to bring back a forgotten staple in the curriculum: letter writing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Though times have changed, the benefits of letter writing remain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A letter is the ultimate multi-tool, helping kids build <strong>empathy, critical thinking, fine motor skills, and creative expression</strong>—all without apps or expensive equipment.

<div><strong>Meet the Founder</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Can a letter change your life? Yes, even if it’s never mailed!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m Jennifer Yang, founder of Dearist. I <strong>discovered a box of letters</strong> from when I was a kid and instantly traveled back in time. The handwriting, torn envelopes, and tiny trinkets inside—still as precious as when they first arrived in the mail years ago.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One envelope stood out: a note I had written to a friend in 3rd grade that <strong>never got mailed</strong>. Then I remembered why—I had been waiting on my parents to buy more stamps.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rebecca W, wherever you are, I have a stamp now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That moment inspired Dearist, a program that provides everything kids need to write and mail letters, including stamps.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Donate today and help bring letter writing to a new generation of kids!</strong>
