Right now as a right this my oldest son is at children's hospital. Hes 14 and hes been through alot. Hes is unfortunately facing complications after having his third Chiari Decompression Surgery with tonsil muscles shrinkage. That causedba Syrinx. And unfortunately he is leaking CSF (cerebral spinal fluid) from his incision.
His surgery was in mid-november and was in the hospital for a week. Came home for a few days and we noticed the leaking. And went back into the hospital the day before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving morning we woke up to more fluid on his hospital pillow so we got the bad news that he had to get a lower lumbar drain and he is going to remain in the hospital until December 13th. He is on antibiotics due to infection, he's is on 24/7 in room nurse to watch his drain.
And when it rains to poors. When my son was home for those 3 days my car wouldn't turn on and left me stranded at the storr with my 2 year son.
A tow later and family coming to pick us up. I now am trying to figure out how to get my jeep fix...
I used my vacation hours to be at the hospital for Noah's surgery. And im in between working using my dads truck to go to the hospital at night and come home to spend time with Mason and Carter my other too.
Thursday is Carter's 12th birthday and i feel so bad for him that our family isnt together. And i have mom guilt for not being about to spend time with everyone. If i could clone myself I would.
Nobody hides pain better than a mother trying to keep everybody and everything together.
Im a proud single mom who loves her boys. And im falling short.
This gofund me is to help me take off a few days to spend time with my boys in and out of the hospital. To get my car fix, to get my son a birthday gift. And anything left over to sprinkle some Christmas cheer to my kids faces.
Im not good at ending so.
Ill just say
Update 12-11
Noah has been in the hospital for 20 days. Hes still has his drain in. His MRI didnt look the best.
If the fluid behind his brain doesn't decrease more by Friday he will be having another surgery.
Sharing or donating anything is a hug blessing.
Thank you!
