<div>On September 14, 2026, our dear friend Jordan Yap (30, from Melbourne, Australia) set off on a solo 10-day trek along the remote Cordillera Huayhuash Circuit in Peru.
</div>

</div>
<div>Jordan was scheduled to finish his trek and return to Huaraz on the afternoon of September 23 to pick up his belongings from Krusty Hostel and take an overnight bus to Lima. He never checked back into the hostel, missed his flight from Lima to Cusco on September 24, and has not made contact with family or friends since entering the trail.

<div>It is likely that he is stranded without a way to call for assistance.

<div>High-altitude search and rescue operations in the Peruvian Andes require immediate private funding to operate at full scale.
</div>

<div>The initial search costs have already exceeded $18,000 AUD to initiate a private search with Socorro Andino Peruano (SAP) - a specialised team of certified Peruvian high-altitude mountain rescue guides - alongside local police units.

<div>We are urgently raising funds to sustain these operations and bring Jordan home safely.
