No one expects to go on vacation and then get severely sick. This is what happened to my brother, Jason.

He flew to Cancun to watch one of his best friends get married. Everything was going great, till it wasn’t. Jason woke up one day not feeling well and short of breath. Before you knew it he was in the hospital, depending on oxygen to breathe. Jason has never left the country and the first time he flies, he gets very sick and stranded in a foreign country.

My sister and I took an emergency flight to Mexico and have been exhausting every possible option to bring Jason home. This has been a rollercoaster of a nightmare as we have been running around trying to find a way to save our brother’s life in a foreign country with a language barrier, and limited financial resources.

Jason was admitted to a public hospital where he was left to suffer in a poorly air conditioned humid climate receiving minimal medical care/ attention for his life threatening diagnosis.

My family has decided to move him to a private hospital to get the care he desperately needs to get better and come home. The private hospitals here are costly, but without getting the proper care we know he will not make it.

We ask everyone, with heavy hearts, to donate anything they can to help us pay for his medical expenses.
