✨I want to appeal to you to support my dear friend, Ariane who is searching for her biological mother and close relatives. ✨

Background:

After her birth at the Hospital Departmental de Cali, Ariane entered an orphanage named Hogares Maria Goretti in Cali, Colombia, a place where young women suffering from neglect, sexual abuse, domestic and intimate partner violence are cared for. A hospital staff explained to Child Protection Services of Cali that her young mother probably 16 years old asked a woman at the hospital to hold her baby one day after she was born because she was going to buy something in the cafeteria and never returned. After one month, she was placed in another orphanage in Bogota for adoption. Thankfully, Ariane was adopted by a loving couple abroad a few weeks later. She was 13 months when she arrived in her new family.

Ariane explains, “although I was welcomed into a loving family, who gave me a good education; I have always wanted to know my family of origin and my Afro-Colombian roots.”

In 2015, she visited Colombia for the first time since she left in the hope of finding her mother and close relatives. She returned in September 2024 to restart the process but learned that she is missing important information to facilitate her search. So far, Ariane’s search for her family in Columbia has been limited to retrieving her mother’s name, age some stories around the circumstances of her birth, all of which is not confirmed. She really needs your support to dig deeper in her search for more information that will lead to her finding her family as the authorities are not cooperative.

Please assist my friend, Ariane in her search to find her biological family.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to hire a private investigator to assist with the search. The traditional route with government institutions is quite cumbersome and time consuming.
