<div>My family has lost everything. Our home, our livelihood, and our sense of safety were taken from us during a dangerous and sudden situation that forced us to evacuate. We had to leave quickly, unable to take most of our belongings. In the blink of an eye, we went from having a warm, loving home to living in a place that barely fits a human being.

<div>Our family of nine—my parents, siblings, and grandparents—worked hard to provide for ourselves and each other. We owned a carpentry shop and a bakery, renting them out to local businesses. The rental income was essential for our financial stability, helping us cover daily needs, education, and household expenses. Both businesses were destroyed in the conflict, leaving us without income and struggling to survive.

<div>Our Struggle
</div>
<div>Since we fled, every day has been a struggle. The markets offer very little, prices are extremely high, and finding a suitable place to live has been nearly impossible. Rents now reach up to $1,500, far beyond our family’s ability to pay.

<div>My siblings and I are trying to continue our education. My brother, a software engineer, lost his job due to the conflict. Another brother is trying to finish high school so he can attend college. And my sister is a university student.

<div>Supporting My Sister's Education
</div>
<div>My sister is a hardworking university student studying Engineering. Due to our financial situation, she now has outstanding tuition fees of about $2,500 that she must pay to continue her bachelor’s degree and receive her certificate. After losing our home and main source of income, we can’t cover this amount. Any support — even a small contribution — will help her stay in school and continue her education without interruption.

<div>Unsere Geschichte
</div>
<div>Meine Familie hat alles verloren. Unser Zuhause, unsere Lebensgrundlage und unser Gefühl von Sicherheit wurden uns in einer gefährlichen und plötzlichen Situation genommen, die uns zur Flucht zwang. Wir mussten schnell aufbrechen und konnten kaum etwas mitnehmen. Im Handumdrehen verwandelte sich unser warmes, liebevolles Zuhause in einen Ort, der kaum für einen Menschen geeignet ist.

<div>Unsere neunköpfige Familie – meine Eltern, Geschwister und Großeltern – hat hart gearbeitet, um füreinander zu sorgen. Wir besaßen eine Schreinerei und eine Bäckerei, die wir an lokale Geschäfte vermietet hatten. Diese Mieteinnahmen waren entscheidend für unsere finanzielle Stabilität und halfen uns, tägliche Bedürfnisse, Bildung und Haushaltsausgaben zu decken. Beide Betriebe wurden im Konflikt zerstört, sodass wir nun ohne Einkommen dastehen und ums Überleben kämpfen.

<div>Unser Kampf
</div>
<div>Seit unserer Flucht ist jeder Tag ein Kampf. Die Märkte bieten kaum etwas an, die Preise sind extrem hoch und eine geeignete Unterkunft zu finden, ist nahezu unmöglich. Die Mieten liegen mittlerweile bei bis zu 1.500 Dollar – weit mehr, als wir uns leisten können.

<div>Meine Geschwister und ich versuchen, unsere Ausbildung fortzusetzen. Mein Bruder, ein Softwareentwickler, verlor durch den Konflikt seinen Job. Ein anderer Bruder versucht, die High School abzuschließen, um später studieren zu können. Und meine Schwester ist ebenfalls Universitätsstudentin.

<div>Unterstützung für die Ausbildung meiner Schwester
</div>
<div>Meine Schwester ist eine fleißige Studentin der Ingenieurwissenschaften. Aufgrund unserer finanziellen Situation hat sie nun ausstehende Studiengebühren von etwa 2.500 Dollar, die sie bezahlen muss, um ihr Bachelorstudium fortzusetzen und ihr Abschlusszeugnis zu erhalten. Nach dem Verlust unseres Zuhauses und unserer Einkommensquelle können wir diesen Betrag nicht aufbringen. Jede Unterstützung – selbst eine kleine Spende – hilft ihr dabei, ihr Studium ohne Unterbrechung fortzuführen.

<div>Unsere Großeltern sind hochbetagt und benötigen regelmäßig Medikamente. Die Unterkunft, in der wir derzeit leben, ist für sie ungeeignet. Sie brauchen ein sicheres und barrierefreies Zuhause, was die Dringlichkeit unserer Lage noch erhöht.

<div>Unser Zuhause bestand nicht nur aus Steinen und Wänden – es war ein Ort voller Erinnerungen, Wärme und Liebe. Jeden Abend saßen wir zusammen, tranken Tee und erzählten uns von unserem Tag. Dieses kleine Ritual brachte uns Trost, Lachen und ein Gefühl von Sicherheit. All das ist jetzt verschwunden.
