We are Titus and Jennifer Waters and We Are Adopting! After years of working with children at Seigler's Karate Center in Martinez, GA we will soon be raising our very own "Next Karate Kid". Bringing home our little one has been full of its challenges but after much prayer and consideration, we have decided to grow our family through the gift of adoption.
Our story is a unique one. It began in 2005 when Titus spotted a young karate instructor that he was determined to marry. He joined karate classes, began volunteering in every event possible, and eventually wooed his bride to be, Jennifer, to begin dating him. 2 years later, the two of us tied the knot just 4 days before Christmas.
Over the next few years, we were busy starting our careers in the martial arts industry. Day in and day out we taught karate classes for students ages 3 and up. As time went by, the urge to become parents became even stronger. Soon, we were ready to think about settling down and having a family of our own.
After 5 years of trying to get pregnant and many doctors visits later, we both felt that it was time to lay our hopes and dreams in the hands of our loving Father. He quickly opened up our hearts to adoption.
4 years ago we began the adoption process with Lifeline Children's Services to adopt domestically. After 4 years in this program, we felt led to change programs and adopt internationally from China.
We have joined forces with Great Wall, an amazing organization dedicated to helping parents find orphans that need a loving and caring home!
Since switching over to international adoption, the costs for the adoption have also increased. With travel, international fees and immigration fees, we are in need of a little extra help to make our dream of a child in our home a reality.
We are so close to bringing home our future karate kid. However, these last few steps are the most substantial and the most expensive. That's why we are asking you, our friends and family to be a part of our child's unique adoption story by giving what you can to help offset the cost of our baby's adoption. Any gift of any size will help us reach our goal.
