Seeing your child's face for the first time is an experience that will take your breath away. Seeing #sweetanna was no exception. The moment we saw her we knew she was suppose to be ours.
#Sweetanna is a 15yr old orphan from the Ukraine. She joined our family in the summer of 2018 when we hosted her through an international adoption agency. The adoption agency matches orphaned children with families in order to give them a taste of family and love while they are not in school.
We entered this experience with the expectation of giving her a summer to remember and showing her the power of unconditional love.
Instead, we learned from her what it is like to have nothing; no family, no love, no guidance and no support. More importantly, we found out that God brought her to us so she may experience these important foundations in life and a forever family! Over the summer she fit seamlessly into our tribe and Vince found a new fishing buddy! From family to church to friends and strangers, this little girl stole hearts.
Due to adoption rules we are unable to expound on her life in the Ukraine. Please hear me when I say this child has been dealt with more in her life than you could ever imagine, yet her outlook is bright. She is positive, loving, compassionate and oh so very smart.
Saying goodbye to her at the end of the summer was one of the hardest things we have had to do as a family. The uncertainty of not knowing if we will ever see her again broke us to the core. Before she left we were all sitting on the couch during family movie night. After the movie she turned to us and said, "I stay here forever?" Melt we did. After much prayer we began our research in the process of adoption. Not knowing what to expect, we learned that adoption comes with its own ups and downs and a hefty fee. We have exhausted many avenues of funds and are now looking to you....our family, friends and brother and sisters in Christ to help support our dream to save Anna and give her the life that she deserves.
Anna may not have been born from our flesh but she was born from our heart. Please help us bring our #sweetanna home.
All donations will aid in the process of adopting Anna including, agency fees, home study fees, travel fees, legal fees and government fees. Any additional funding beyond our set goal will be utilized for medical care and educational funding for Anna once she arrives in the US.
We have started the adoption process for Anna and funding for the process is required asap.
